I've started practicing the hurdles in practice, I'm excited for my first track meet March 31, pretty soon!
I met with Veronica Hebard today, who has an illustration blog. I'm gonna be interning with her next year and I'm really excited for that, she's a great artist and seems like a really cool person.
This drawing is on what I think is called "contrasto" paper. Basically you use an exacto knife and cut on either side - black or white. It's very fun to use! I did this based on Alice, holding the potion which will shrink her.

All the Small Things

The track season starts next week! I got new racing flats, an early birthday present :)
I drew this picture of drummer Travis Barker for my sister's birthday last year.
He's unique looking so he was fun to draw, and his many tattoos were a fun challenge!

Mask

I got the internship I wanted! It's gonna be awesome next year!

This is a project I did in my art class last semester. It was a calligraphy project, and I chose blackletter (very similar to old english,) always one of my favorite fonts. My idea was that there was a girl standing in front of a mirror, and her reflection shows her true self - evil. She masks who she is, but inside is her true identity. The words that went along with it represent someone who was betrayed by this girl when she revealed her true character to them.

These are the girl's evil eyes, watching whoever sees her for who she is.

Enchanted

This drawing represents me. It shows a girl who thinks that snow is magical,
so all the plants growing up in the snow are enchanted, symbolizing what the
experience is like for her

I saw Alice in Wonderland in IMAX tonight, and besides the fact that
3d makes it awesome, it was definitely one of my favorite movies!

Wonderland

I can't wait to see Alice in Wonderland in IMAX this wednesday. I've been listening to the soundtrack and some of the songs are awesome, my favorite is Shinedown's "Her name is Alice" I love how Alice is talking in the beginning and end.

That video I took when I went to see Shinedown a couple months ago, they're awesome live, and breaking inside is one of my favorite songs!

I drew the picture last year of a girl from Seventeen magazine; then I was usually drawing faces only from one reference, rather than making my own faces from various references.
I'm going to do an internship for my senior year, so right now I'm trying to contact artists that could possibly use help!
Alice in Wonderland looks like such an awesome movie, I love 3d movies like avatar, and I bought tickets to see Alice in imax next week so that'll be wicked cool!
Next week I have my Art All State interview. I really, really want to get in, it would be awesome to meet new people and artists!

first post

I would love to spend the rest of tonight designing my blog, but unfortunately I have a ton to do (as always.) I'll be posting some of my works of art soon for sure!
