I've been wicked busy for weeks now with calculus and art and english... not including all the stuff I'm doing to get ready for college applications! I reached my goal on the SAT's though, which I was really excited about (I got a 2060!).

But, the release of the trailer for Uncertain Ice lifted my spirits!!! I love this little clip, and it made me realize how excited I am to see the movie. I can only imagine how excited my dad (Mauri Pelto) must be! I'm the blond girl you occasionally see wondering around, hiking, and drawing :D Check it out!

North Cascades 2010!

I got back just over a week ago from the North Cascades in Washington State! It was another awesome year out there and I got some good sketching in! A film crew traveled with us this year, it'll  be awesome to see the documentary when it's done! I'm actually currently working on a short video that I just make for fun of our trip with pictures and some short video clips, I made one last year of the 2009 season as well!

From Top: I drew this little point the day we were out on Iceworm Glacier, I think it might be called Michael's Thumb; I started this sketch of Blanca lake and the surrounding area last year and continued it this year - I plan on finishing it for good soon!; I started this sketch of a small lake in the Camp Kiser area of Mt. Baker last year as well, and I returned there to finish it this year (although snow was pretty much covering the lake this year.); Us putting on our crampons!; In an ice cave below the Lower Curtis Glacier!
